The elegant, aristocratic Borzoi.
The Borzoi Club was established in March 1892 following a proposal by the Duke and Duchess of Newcastle to preserve and protect the breed standard. This makes The Borzoi Club one of the oldest breed clubs in the United Kingdom.
The Borzoi Club holds an annual Championship Show. In May 1952 the Diamond Jubilee Championship Show at Mrs Vlasto's home in Ascot. And in October 1992 the Centenary Championship Show was held at Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth. Currently the annual Championship show is held in October at a venue near Coventry.
In the 1950's the club consisted of around 60 members. Now there are over 200 UK members, plus 29 members residing overseas.
New members are always welcome. Application form can be found on "Membership" page.
